    Thumbs up Outboard work.

I'm pretty proficiant when it comes to working on 2 stroke outboards. Don't do rebuilds on powerheads or have the fancy electronic diagnostic tools, but can toon and repair carbs, waterpumps, lower unit repairs, etc.,etc....
So before you take your rig to the local rapist.....I mean O/B mechanic, give me a holler or bring it by.
I work cheap. It's a hobby and if I can save somebody some money and aggravation, I'm more than happy to help.
So I'm a social outcast ? Well........your'e ugly and so are your kids.

No. Car motors belong in cars, not botes.

Can you get a cheaper price on a SkegGuard? Last one I bought was $110. And it was recently claimed by a log at Lake Verret, need a new one.

I got an old Mariner 25 outboard that has what seems to be a fuel problem. Runs fine at 1/2 throttle but spits and spudds at higher RPM. Do you make house calls?

Where are you located? Sounds like a fuel delivery problem. Three beer job.

I'M located on the Amite river in St Amant. The guy i got the boat from told me that he put it in the shop for the problem I described above. He said that he spent $600.00 on it and that included a carb rebuild. About 4 months later the problem returned. It was a coworkers duck boat. He gave it to my son to use around the camp. If it is an easy fix, i would be happy to spend the money to fix it but, if it is a couple hundred dollar fix, he can use it as is. Like I said, it runs fine at 1/2 throttle.
